Let your neighbours know how much you love gaming with this awesome 8-Bit Wreath!

The 10.5″ x 13″ wreath is made of durable EVA foam and decorated with a pixelated game controller, red gem, cherries, a 1-up mushroom wearing a Santa hat, a Galaga ship, Tetris block, little blue Dragon Quest slime, and…wait for it…gold coins containing yellow LEDs so your wreath will sparkle in the night.

For Shane’s Birthday (11/22/11) as a cute little surprise, I bought him a Funko! Pop Vinyl Batman figure from the toy department of my local target (using my Target Debit Card which saved me 5%). The moment I saw it I fell in love, and knew it was a must have for our collection of action figures and collectibles. I mean seriously what DC fan could seriously resist anything as cute as this?

Also available in their DC line, are batgirl, robin and many of batman’s JLA friends and their well known enemies. But the awesomness doesn’t stop there. Funko Pop!’s line just released a marvel series which include my personal favorites, Wolverine, Captain America and Spiderman, and a Star Wars line with all the best of the best characters.

These cute little collectible bobble head figures make great gifts for geeks both big and small, available at most toy stores and online for under $10.

This year at your local half price bookstore for black friday stores are opening at the more reasonable hour of 7am. This year however, the first 100 people per store will receive a  tote with a gift card in it totaling $5 and one lucky random shopper will receive a $100 gift card (yes, this is valid at every HPB).

On top of the gift cards which you can use on your purchase or save as a gift or keep for yourself to use on another date, HPB is also offering two great coupons you can pick from. 40% off one item, or $15 off your purchase of $50 or more* (available here)

And as an extra added bonus that they have every day, for every $30 you spend upon request you can get a free calendar which has its own special savings page with coupons for each month of the year.

Its too bad I’ll still be working from 11:30pm Thursday - 10am Friday, and will have to miss this great offer. I’m not a big black friday shopper, but if I decided to stop by anywhere it would probably be here, for I always find the best of gently used treasures at this store.

*Valid NOVEMBER 25TH, ONLY.

Black Friday is going to be big this year at your local Kohl’s, with most stores opening on Thanksgiving at Midnight and a 64 page advertisement packed with  great weekend only discounts, (which can be seen here) most “hardcore holiday shoppers” are going to find it hard to resist not stopping by this year, especially with all the extra special savings you get on top of the already low prices…

Like $15 Kohl’s Cash for Every $50 you spend, which is exactly like getting a free gift card or store credit redeemable on everything in store and online*, which is equivalent to getting 30% cash back. There is no limit to how much you can earn and I must add that this will stack up quickly and will create more savings during its redemption period, due to the fact its $5 more than the $10 we usually give out during Kohl’s Cash sales days.

On top of the Kohl’s cash you can earn, if you didn’t receive your coupon in the mailer, there is a printable version for 15% off your entire purchase (which is available here). People who chose to sign up for a Kohl’s Charge card this weekend however, will automatically save 20% off their entire purchase (no coupon necessary)** and will be eligible for continued savings through out the year, including “pick your day savings” which I will explain more in another post.

Also, if you haven’t already sign up for their emails (HERE), upon confirmation you get your own unique $5 off your entire purchase coupon which can be stacked on top of your 15% off. Like the charge card, you will continue to see savings through out the year which include but are not limited to $10 off your next purchase, and all the way up to 30% off.

Kohl’s is a great place to shop, especially if you’re looking in the right place (like their clearance section, which I personally have seen go as far as 90% off and can be combined with any coupon). So if you haven’t already sign up for their emails and print off their 15% off coupon to start saving!

*Except Charitable Item & Gift Cards
** This can not be stacked on top of your 15% coupon if you have one. Kohl’s does not allow stacking of percentages, however they do allow an unlimited amount of stacking of dollars off, as long as you have a variety of different coupons, not multiples of the same ones.

So I’m a big fan of my local Sears Portrait studio for many reasons… the main one being they have a big studio (in comparison to the neighboring ones in the mall) with a great staff who provide fast, friendly and quality service; they work great with kids (including my two year-old who isn’t a fan of sitting still) and they manage to get great shots even when there is little to work with.

Another reason I absolutely love and recommend Sears Portrait Studio is because they always have the best deals..and by best deals I mean the kind where I can walk into the studio without my wallet and leave without paying for a thing. Seriously. I Halloween Portraits* done there for the cost of absolutely nothing but my time. Free Photoshoot, and one free 8x10, all just by signing up for their Email, which is something I can say I don’t regret one bit, especially with an offer like the one I got this week:

Lets just say I’m not gonna miss this great opportunity to get some holiday portraits done! Unfortunately, they won’t be ready in time for me to use them for my free 15 christmas cards that I’ll be getting from Rite Aid, but I’ll still find a way to turn them into great presents for my family.

So if you haven’t already Sign up for some great deals from Sears Portrait Studio [here].

*Unfortuantely I’ve been slacking on making my way to the mall, even though I work across from it and have yet to pick these photos up.
